Time to get festive! LADS Student Society organise Advent Ball!

This is becoming an annual thing! Word has it that we will have a summer ball too! Hot off the press! The Advent Ball takes place in the wonderful atmospheric uphill area of Lincoln. This makes it a wonderful and special event for students to experience and marks the end of the term for students!

“Our final celebration to finish off 2017 was our Advent Ball, an occasion we use to celebrate with a 3 course meal. With over, 120 people in attendance, the night was a success”.

Well done also the LADS who manage to organise such a fantastic night!

Amazing Architecture cakes by Year 1 Architecture students!

This year we set the year 1 students the challenge to produce cakes of famous buildings and they really rose to the challenge! Check out these beauties! The winner is the Will Allsop Peckham Library by Zak Craig (the blue one with the chocolate fingers!). What is not appreciated in this picture are the KitKats structure within the cake to support the front portion!

Well done to all who put such a great effort in and thank you to the Lincolnshire Architects for judging the event! The purpose of this was to engage students in a rigorous and different way of understanding precedent, structure and key contemporary architecture!
