New Theatre Royal Architecture Exhibition

Year 2 Architecture students have designed proposals for the New Theatre Royal in Lincoln as part of their course this year. This gives the students an opportunity to work with real clients on an exciting project, considering complex programme of spaces and offering opportunity to learn about working with historic buildings in the city.

The exhibition showcases a selection of project proposals, allowing for some poetic license with thorough consideration for the concept right through to the technical resolution of how this projects would be built and how the buildings would function!

In addition the exhibition also showcases a number of Master of Architecture projects to demonstrate the progression of our students from undergraduate to post graduate study. If you are interested to see the complete end of year show for the University of Lincoln Architecture programmes it will be on the Architecture Building on the University campus on the 8th of June at 6pm 2018.

RIBA Regional Education Group meet in Lincoln

Our quarterly meeting for the RIBA East Midlands Education Group has met in Lincoln last week. It was a great opportunity to get professionals and academics together to discuss architectural education and this time we had the pleasure of having a presentation from Lisa McFarlane from Seven Architecture on Architecture Apprenticeship schemes! Very interesting debate on how this could work and hopefully Schools will take up the opportunity in order to give students more routes through architectural education!
